This event will take place on Friday, September 12, 6 - 8pm in Tafel Hall/lowest level at the Center for Architecture. This is event is free; no RSVP required.
Project Description::
Mapping has the potential to make information accessible and to represent the unrepresented. As we navigate the vast, decentralized communication networks of the 21st century, we need new maps to make sense of the world, to regain our capacity to act and make ethical choices. Four leading practitioners whose work has straddled the design disciplines gather to discuss recent projects and examine the political and cultural impact of mapping as a user interface of the 21st century.
Speakers: Natalie Jeremijenko; Lisa Strausfeld; Alfredo Jaar; Bruce Cahan; moderated by Peter Hall.
